HOMEMADE SPORTS DRINKS

Sports drinks are advertised to replenish glucose, fluids, and electrolytes (sodium, potassium, magnesium, calcium) lost during strenuous exercise as well as to enhance endurance.



INGREDIENTS:

● 8 cups fresh cold water,

● 3 tablespoons honey

● 1⁄2 teaspoon fine Himalayan pink salt

● 3⁄4 teaspoon calcium magnesium powder (Optional)

● 1 pinch cayenne pepper

● 3⁄4 cup freshly squeezed orange juice, strained

● 2 medium lemons, juiced

● 2 medium limes, juiced


METHOD:

1. Blend together in a food processor fruit juices ( orange,limes & lemons).

2. Add cayenne pepper,calcium magnesium powder, himalayan salt & honey.

3. Add water.

4. Blend all ingredients together.

5. Drink is ready.

6. Can be stored for up to 2 days in the fridge.


Approx grams of carbs per drink is 52g
